Had a lovely Christmas Day, best in a number of years.
Lunch was grilled cheese/pineapple/ham on croissants.
I dressed up in my pretty black maxi dress and was pretty anxiety-free. The kidlets loved their presents, Liam got sooo much Thomas, and Lara loved, among other things, her multiple Tinkerbell presents (including costume!) and the cash register (we all shopped multiple times, I bought an $8 bottle of mineral water!). And James loves his playskool thing with turny knobs. They had a yummy dinner, then lots more playing.
Dinner was prawns and avocado and ham and egg and cheese and beetroot and tomato and pineapple and lettuce and potato salad and two pasta salads. And then quarter of a huge chocolate bavarian each. Half of us couldn't quite finish!
But sister-in-law has ended the night in the emergency room, apparently she stabbed her right index finger while putting together kids toys! Hope she's home by now, she was still at the hospital around 1am because it wouldn't stop bleeding enough for them to stitch and check it out properly.
Apparently the other week she cut her finger, and Lara's response was that she was silly, "It's not food."
